All the options are open before Gorran

On October 20, 2018, the National Council of the  Change Movement held its regular meeting at its headquarters in the city of Sulaimani. The meeting discussed the political situation in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.

 

 The National Council said in a statement  issued after the meeting that the Kurdistan Region, Iraq and the region are going through  sensitive political developments , and the Kurdish people face great challenges. Therefore, today's meeting was devoted to discuss the political situation in the current stage and future stages, in order to preserve the gains of the people of Kurdistan and address all problems and the crises facing citizens.

 

The National Council announced that it discussed the elections of the Kurdistan Regional Parliament and its implications, and also reviewed and evaluated the work of the Change Movement .

 

Adding that the movement will announce its position on participation in the Kurdistan Regional Government  after the announcement of the final results of the parliamentary elections of Kurdistan. Noting that all options for change are open.

 

At the end of the statement , the Change Movement decided to hold a national meeting within a specified period to review and evaluate the performance of its institutions, to draft a constitution, to chart a new road map for the future and to conduct its internal elections.

"From the Change Movement, we are thanking the people of Kurdistan and the Change Movement voters who cast a ballot during the election, We apologize to Change Movement voters for any shortcomings presented by us which reduced the Change Movement's votes." said the statement.
