Gorran Movement message on the occasion of Newroz

In a statement about the Newroz celebration and Kurdish new year 2721, and also the anniversary of North Kurdistan revolution, Gorran Movement sends congratulations to Kurdistan Region citizens and Kurdish people of Kirkuk and the disputed areas, citizens of East Kurdistan, west and north Kurdistan and Kurdish diaspora.

In the occasion of Newroz celebration and the Kurdish New Year 2721, we send a warm congratulation to Kurdish citizens of Kurdistan region, Kirkuk and the disputed areas, our citizens in East, west, north of Kurdistan and Kurdish diaspora.

Newroz celebration is an important national occasion. It is about resistance and protection lesson of land, language and the essential elements of the survival of Kurd. It is an occasion of boosting the resistant spirit against the persecution and injustice of colonialism.

In this important occasion, which simultaneous with the anniversary of Kurdistan people revolution and the liberation of Kirkuk city, Gorran Movement stressed on the achievement of the high goals of Kurdish people. That achievement is to work and struggle continuously to provide a better life for citizens and protect the freedoms and dignity of people. It also includes reinforcement and development the reconciliation feeling and tolerance between citizens and political parties avoiding personal and partisan conflict. At the same time the achievement includes moral and political support to the struggle of other parts of Kurdistan.

The political entity of Kurdistan region is product of the blood and sacrifices throughout hundreds of years. So, that entity should be protected, but it will be protected by the availability of united army, a good and united government, neutral court and judiciary, an active parliament, a market without monopolization and the eradication of corruption with the punishment against corrupted officials. Kurdistan region’s entity is protected by its people. So, the life of that people should be the center of government agenda in the region. In doing so, the implementation of general reform should be the priority of this political stage.

On the internal level of Gorran Movement, we thank all citizens who supported this political project and will support it in the future. We take steps towards the second internal conference by your support in order to settle problems and boost the organizational structure and internal reconciliation.

Again, happy Newroz celebration and we hope to maintain Kurdistan with its independence and shine in your hearts.
