Gorran movement: the uprising was to achieve justice, but there is a worst injustice in this country

In the anniversary of Kurdistan region Uprising Gorran Movement warned that if the general reform will not make, the internal and external threats will increase and the future of Kurdistan region will be in the dark Tunnel.

In its message on the occasion of the anniversary of Kurdistan region uprising in 1991, Gorran movement said: Kurdish people uprising was to achieve freedom, but currently the authority suppresses freedom and citizens are arrested and punished due to their opinions.

In the occasion of Kurdish uprising…
Today, 30 years passed on the great popular uprising of Kurdistan people, the uprising that resulted to the end of long oppression period. The uprising that started from its gate in (Rania District), and in a short time, Sulaiamny, Erbil, Duhok cities had been freed and in Nawroz day, the last victory was recorded in KirKuk city.

Unfortunately, before people had taken a rest under the umbrella of freedom, internal conflict was erupted because of monopolization, personal, regional and partisan interests which was finally resulted in an internal civil war. After many disasters in that happened due to that civil war, the existence of Baath Party was taken into consideration by Kurdish people, so they supported Kurdistan government, which unfortunately so far it has significantly the signs of two administrations.

In this anniversary, the all sides should now that Nawshirwan Mustaf was a mastermind of that uprising. He felt that the dream and goal of uprising was exploited, from that time he tried to adjust the bad situation of people by his writings, seminars and popular gatherings and political activities. Due to this truth, he decided to quit participation in the authority and attempted to adjust the situation in a different method, so he relied on the media outlets and with his friends within the Gorran Movement as a popular movement and tried to widen democracy field in order to reform in all areas in favor of people.

Dear citizens
Today a new generation that hasn’t seen Baath oppression and unfairness, has raised in Kurdistan, but they are very angry about the lack of the sovereignty of law, transparency, social justice and corruption. While the uprising was for achieving freedom, but now the authority suppresses freedom, citizens are being punished and arrested due to their opinion. The uprising was to survive from killing and unfairness, but now the authority kills people just because of the demand their rights in demonstrations.

The uprising was for justice, but now there is a worst injustice in incomes and the wealth of this region, the uprising was to establish national institutions, the entity which has one national army, security and independent court, but unfortunately none of uprising dreams hasn’t been achieved. The reason is clear. The personal and partisan interest has been prioritized against the national interest.

Now, by the wave of media outlets, the authority tries to distort people mind and to flare up conflicts, all those steps contradict with the uprising goals and the high interests of Kurdistan people and protecting the political entity f Kurdistan Region.

Nawshirwan Mustafa quoted: “we haven’t made uprising to change Arabic totalitarian regime to oppressive authority”, he also pointed the solution for that problem. The real democracy, social justice are the solution that can be achieved by radical reform in the all sectors, if the general reform will not be done, the internal and external threats will increase and the future of Kurdistan Region will be in the dark tunnel.
